HCH – HISTORY – CHURCH HISTORY HCH 301 – History of Christianity I As you study the history of the church from 33 AD – 1517 AD you will learn how the Bible came to be and what the cost of being a Christian was in the beginning.
NTS – NEW TESTAMENT STUDIES NTS 101 – Acts I The outpouring of the Holy Spirit and Peter’s ministry are the focus of this study. NTS 102 – Life of Christ I A close examination of the life of Christ from His birth to His triumphant entry into Jerusalem. NTS 103 – New Testament Survey I The purpose of this course is to involve you in a personal firsthand survey of the first half of the New Testament. Also to lead you into a time of personal reflection as you consider practical spiritual applications of the Bible. NTS 104 – Spirit Controlled Life An in-depth study of Galatians for the serious student of God’s Word. This study takes away the burden of trying to obtain salvation through works and enables us to rest in Christ’s finished work. NTS 201 – A Closer Look at the Parables Considering the many teachings of Christ, approximately one-third are in parables. A study of the parables will help us recognize our shortcomings and will give us a pattern to follow. NTS 202 - Acts II A look at home and foreign missions through Paul’s journeys. Insights on how to put the Gospel to work in your life and church will be studied. NTS 203 – Life of Christ II Walk with Jesus from the debate at the Feast of Tabernacles to His glorious ascension into Heaven. NTS 204 – New Testament Epistle A study of Paul’s letters to the churches helping them clarify and apply their beliefs to everyday living. NTS 205 – Revelation John the revelator, tells about his walk with Jesus, the things concerning the Church, and the things which shall come to pass. NTS 301 – Hebrews (Abrahamic Covenant) Study the Abrahamic Covenant and how it applies and who is included in the blessings of Abraham. NTS 401 – New Testament Survey II Study the second half of the New Testament, in particular the Revelation of Jesus Christ and the end times. NTS 402 – I & II Thessalonians For those on a firing line this is a distinctly different course. This course combines historical settings and textual interpretation with spiritual insights and contemporary illustrations that are specifically designed for those endowed with the privilege of communicating God’s Word. |
